Casa Caoba is a new, corner lot construction, built in the style of Spanish colonial architecture typical of Granada, Nicaragua’s oldest city and tourist capital.
The two-story, 4 bedroom, 4 bathroom home is located steps from the city center, right in the heart of the residential, colonial quarter.
The home is a family dwelling containing 3 upstairs bedrooms that overlook the central courtyard, garden and pool. From the upstairs balcony one has an impressive view of volcano Mombocho.
The upstairs bedrooms are complete with full bathrooms, the master bathroom is furnished with a full bathtub. There is a fourth room on the first floor which doubles as an office and guest room with built-in Murphy Bed.
The kitchen is equipped with all modern appliances, including a gas stove, large oven and stainless-steel, large-capacity refrigerator. The adjacent dining room seats up to 10 guests around the Venetian style banquet table which was procured from the Italian Consulate in Venezuela.
Tropical flowers, chilies, spices and an avocado tree grow in the garden of the central courtyard, just adjacent to the wading pool and sunning deck.
There is ample space in the house for relaxing, be it in the upstairs library or the main floor living room.
The ceilings of the home are built with Honduran mahogany rafters and a traditional cain finish, the cabinetry is custom-built of cedar.
The house is located around the corner from Parque Central, the main city square and public hub where commerce and leisure meet. The restaurants along the periphery of the park vary, from typical Nicaraguan fare to international cuisine. Three blocks from Casa Caoba, the Calle del Calzado boasts street performers and art galleries, outdoor patios littered with patrons and horse-drawn carriages.
